Dreams really can come true!
More than two years ago, I made a little wish. (I can’t claim to be the first, of course, but let’s pretend like I was.)

To remind myself that Google does a perfectly fine job of archiving and making their doodles available to ogle at any time. Because honestly, I was kinda kicking myself for the small folder on my computer that housed all those screencaps I took of them, then ignored until they were forgotten and wondered “What’s in this here folder, hmmm?”

Missing e is awesome.
I figure that’s an apt title for the following list of exclamation points for my Friday.
I had the day off today!
We had our first ever guest over for lunch!
I made delicious stir fry veggies and chicken!
We drank local wine with lunch!
Then had a dessert of ice cream with toasted almonds and drizzled with chocolate cabernet wine sauce!

Success, Sort Of
In my quest to become more minimal in life, over the summer I tossed all the jewel cases from my CDs and put them in red boxes.
Over the last few days, I’ve finally done the same for my DVDs.
While I like how much that reduces clutter, and I like how much easier it will make my upcoming move, I realized I’m now missing something.
My DVD carousel is now empty. And along with that...

Fuck Cancer.

I ground some coffee beans into a delicious morning beverage today.
After hemming and hawing *forever* about it, I downloaded a free trial of Scrivener. I’m only working through the “tutorial” right now but I already love it.
I bought a proper panini pan last week to replace my electric one that was okay but an absolute bitch to keep clean.
