Icing on the Cake
As if the evening wasn’t awesome enough as it was, I got a pleasant surprise on the drive home in the form of Nick Lowe’s Cruel To Be Kind playing on the radio. WIN.
I swear I don't have a problem
I mean, it’s perfectly normal to stay home all day and watch back-to-back marathon episodes of “Bang For Your Buck” on HGTV, right? RIGHT? RIGHT?!?!?!
Meagan is stupid in love.
marleymarley: monkeyfrog: redcloud: rachelarogers: angelablack: Pass it on. we’re playing telephone, right? My gun is stuck in a glove. Pass it on. Jack’s a gun lovin glove stroker. Pass it on. DANNY GLOVER JACKED YOUR LOVE MUFFIN?!?!?! Pass it on! DENNY’S COVERED MICK JAGGER’S LIPOSUCTION???!? Pass it on!
Just so we’re clear, the 00’s decade isn’t technically over for another year. We start counting decades with the number 1, so once 2011 hits, THEN we’ll be in a new decade and then we can get all nostalgic and shit. Honestly.
I’m still Philleum. But with a revamped tumblr url. (And also an affinity for using a David Bowie song for titling the occasional tumblr post.) Thoughts?
It couldn’t be helped. This was in my head today. So I had to share it with you guys. Oh, and have a merry *&#*(&$ x-mas!
I love Tumblr, but have to say I’m looking forward to Christmas being over. The Santa and Reindeer avatars are just too much for me to handle much longer. Makes me miss the ol’ shark vs. cat time.
Die, Alex Cross!
In high school, I was a murdery mystery fanatic. I read way more of those types of books than I’d care to admit. And despite the formula so evident in them all, I still believe some of them are better than others. Enter James Patterson. I read one book. Not bad. Then another. Okay. Then a third. Holy fucking shit. By the end of it, I was rooting for the bad guys, hoping more than anything...
If you had a larger thing in your pants, your life would have been better.– Spam That Boosts the Ol’ Self-Esteem I’m still a little confused though; shouldn’t this be written in the future tense? It’s not like I’m 90 yet.
The Dustpanic featuring Phil - #SocialMediaTag ...
About that song I wrote...
A few weeks ago my good friend Nico and I were hanging out and he asked if I wanted to help him work on a project for a super nerdy game he was playing with a fellow blogger. The two of them are web developers, of sorts, and got into a game they termed “Social Media Tag,” wherein one form of social communication lead to another, in the back and forth style of, well, tag. I said...
Nothing says you're on break...
Quite like relapsing from a cold you fought for a month and thought you’d finally beaten. I feel like someone reached into my belly and twisted my stomach like a wet towel. Fuck.
Please note that the previous reblog was an auto-reblog. Partly because it’s awesome. And partly because I’m at one of my favorite Albuquerque coffee shops and there’s a hard core bible study going on right next to me. The inappropriateness of it all seemed, well, appropriate.
wine-inspiration: Since you live vicariously through my photos I thought you should know we are going to Avignon, France for New Years. I will of course take pics and post them, not to rub it in but in the hopes that one day you will post pictures of your travels too!! Happy Holidays. xoxo Sounds wonderful! I have to break out the ol’ camera and get better about uploading my...

Is that Gene Hackman's voice I hear on a Lowe's...
That raspy voice is pure sex. Or it would be if it wasn’t a holiday commercial for a big giant home improvement store.
Couldn’t get comfortable, for some reason. Tired. Too hot with the covers and too cold without them. Thirsty. Flipping the pillow every 5 minutes to get to the cold side. Awake. Thank goodness for the internet. Especially Tumblr. For the insomniac in all of us.
It only took six hours of uncomfortable travel. How about that sweet Asian lady on the bus with a British accent? And how about that bigger-than-me guy sitting next to me on the plane and thus making for a very squashed and uncomfortable flight? And then how about that bubbly eighth-grader visiting New Mexico for the first time? How about being back in New Mexico? Yeah. How about that.
And then there was silence
But only after about ten million bajillion quadrillion other things that had to happen first. Eight million trillion billion of which didn’t get thrown at me until last week. Done. Finite. Zzzzzz.

Missions accomplished: One fifteen-page research paper replete with statistical calculations and fancy computerized charts, two research articles read followed by one two-page response paper, and a newly acquired CPR certification. Lessons learned: I may procrastinate like my life depends on it, but damn I’m good.
If you were to ask me why it is I spend less time on 20sb than I did, say, a...– It’s weird to see myself quoted. Thanks for the props and the messages. You guys rule. Phil (me!), on 20SB. (via dshan)
