Something weird happened.
A facebook status update from an old high school buddy that turned all religious and anti-gay had been bothering me for the past two days, so I decided to comment on it. South Carolina didn’t remove its interracial marriage ban until 1998. In November of 2000, Alabama had a vote to remove their interracial marriage ban and 40% of the population voted to KEEP it.
In California 52% or slightly over 7 million people voted FOR prop 8.
Same Sex Marriage is only legal in 7 states and the District. None of these were by vote.
This is NOT an issue...
